It's been two months, so it must be time for another update. See, I told you it wouldn't be another year and a half!

A lot has happened since the last update, so let me try to catch everyone up. First and most importantly, we've finished principal photography on Chess Soup. Everything came together nicely, and we actually finished on schedule. The actors did a great job, and I can't wait to see how it all looks cut together. For a preview, you can check out the all new trailer we've put on the site.

I told you last time that X Takes the Square was letting us use a song in the film. They've since graciously allowed us to use a couple of more tracks from their great CD Goddess of Cool. Their song Sex to Serious can be heard in the first trailer for Chess Soup. In other exciting music news, Maria Sebastian, an amazingly talented artist from New York has agreed to let us use some of her songs as well. She's featured in the new trailer. And to make the music news even better Fight Dirty, another band I heard first on XM radio, has agreed to let us use their song My Girlfriend in the film. I can't describe how excited I am about the way the music is shaping up for Chess Soup.

Now, for updates on some of our other projects. Mute is almost done. After almost three years of work, we can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. We're waiting on a couple of new songs from a composer in South Carolina and then Kim can put the final touches on the project.

And speaking of horror, we've scheduled our next project after Chess Soup. Screamplay, a horror short, is tentatively scheduled to film sometime in November. It's another idea that has been floating in the back of my mind for a bit. After learning so much on Mute, we wanted to try to do another horror film. The Screamplay cast is made up of several familiar faces from Chess Soup. Michelle Slezak, Elisabeth Laine, Jeremy Schwab, Eddie Malley, Jennifer Seab and Shannon Oliver will all be featured in this horror short. We had so much fun working with them all on Chess Soup, we can't wait to get started on this new project.

And one last thing before I go. The Room has been accepted into the Bare Bones International Film Festival in Tulsa , OK . It's going to be screened Saturday, October 16 at 9:00 PM. So if you're in the area, check it out.

That will do it for now. I'll be back with another update as soon as I have more news.
