Amy Brown

Amy Brown began acting as a child in school productions in Waco, Texas. In high school, she had leading roles in plays such as The Odd Couple (Female Version) and Mamet's The Poet and the Rent. Amy completed her BFA degree in acting (summa cum laude) at Texas Christian University. Performance highlights there included the lead in the gender-bending student production Breakfast Serial, in which Amy played a male serial killer who preys upon younger boys. Another highlight was Andy Dick's Circus of Freaks, a disturbing stage show directed by and starring the controversial TV star Andy Dick.

Although her background was in theatre, Amy's passion is now film. A star of several short films (including The Blood Party, Favorite Overcoat, and Just Winnings), Amy was recently cast as the lead in two independent feature films: Dawn of Twilight, an action thriller, and Mute, a horror film. She also has been given a supporting role in the upcoming thriller Unaware with stars Joe Estevez and Linnea Quigley. Additionally, Amy stars in the zombie short How to Dig Your Own Grave. On television, Amy had a recurring role on the student show Diva Star, in which she played a woman suffering from leukemia. She also is a series regular on the cable show Dr. Deadly's Theatre of Horrors as a 300-year-old witch. A long-time horror film devotee, Amy enjoys expressing her dark side in this evil role. Never losing her passion for the avant-garde, Amy hopes to focus her career in independent projects that will surprise, disturb, and deeply affect the audience. She is fluent in French and is an accomplished pianist whose hobbies include web design and surrealist art. A vegetarian since age 13, Amy is an adamant supporter of animal rights.
